I don't usually post commissions but the commissioner of these pieces insisted because he was so pleased and felt my work needed to be seen publicly. *It's his shameless, yet sweet, attempt at getting me more work too XD*.

This lovely lady is part of a series of 5 Goddess's. She is Darkness. I was told by the commissioner to keep them fairly simple yet elegant and not make them overly cliche. They were supposed to look like they could be normal women but there'd be that "Goddess Glow" about them. The backgrounds were to remain simple and not overpower the character.

There's always some debates on whether Darkness and Light are elements. I personally go by Sun and Moon as elements though (Light and Dark respectively and symbolically). This has to be the sexiest thing I've ever drawn. I mean... It even shocked me. Don't know if this dress is physically possible to wear, but it's super pretty and sleek. I can see J-Lo in it. *LMAO* Had fun playing with the pigment of her skin and her hair. I fought with myself on using just black to depict darkness. I mean, black is the ultimate darkness but it too is overly cliche and ya can't really... work with it. So I went with dark blue! I went a little Tetsuya Nomura with her hair.

@_@ Jeez... she's just too sexy for her... dress!

Additional silver from the dark red-brown.

so it's lighter, her hair is wispier her eyes are white now, oh and the piercings, and i believe there are more stringies... somewhere... on her breasts maybe? i think it looks better now, i didn't really like the piercings

The more dominant blue of her hair and outfit looks quite nice, and personally I think she looks better without the piercings. The markings under her eyes look better in red as well. The eyes, however... I feel the darker shade of the original version are more appropriate. All in all, wonderful effort.

I think your goddesses are all secretly Surfer girls. *laughs* Bikinis again! But the overall effect is neat. I would only say one thing-- and that's that the moon doesn't seem to be lighting her at all.

i like the original more.
the piercings , the earings , and the color was darker, wich made her "Darkness girl" for sure =)
i believe the original had more "Dark" effect over me ^__^

Now i have seen it, a black verison, a red verison and now a blue verison........maybe someday she will have a red vierosn of the blue one and call it the "Lake of fire". Either way, she is just a minor godess, not really the heavy hitter. She cold be the goddess of the Night.

I prefer this version. The black one is just too goth for me.
