Looks great!

I have wanted to do the effect of leaves's cast shadows and light on figures before, and this seems like a very useful resource.

wow, thank you! i find this really a really useful digital painting tutorial! i have problem painting with computer. it's a bit overwhelming for some reason.

ah.... You could try, but I have a feeling it's going to come out 'thumbnail' sized in print. And the black and white might destroy the purpose of it being a color tutorial ^^;.

The part about the shades is most awesome, and really useful. I'm starting to try and learn how to CG, I've mostly got the trick for skins, hair and clothes but highlights and shadows are still a pain (especially how to pick the right colour >.>;; , though the Pantone palet in Photoshop is damn useful). This will definitely help a lot. :D
