Last picture upload for a while. Time to focus on my comic. Thanks for all the sweet and supportive comments on my last journal entry. I know I nitpick myself to death, it's not intetional, I just know I can improve and I want to improve like... now.
This was done just for practice. I had the lineart for a while... actually she was going to be CG Session #2 for you guys but I thought she might be too simple. I spent way more time on this than I should have because I started messing around with variations of her. She was blonde, blue eyed, and had on a pale, almost white, colored dress orignally. I liked this one better so this is the final version. I'm really digging all the browns and greens. This girl's like... an Elf/Healer/Ballerina ... Make up a story for her! You can see the other version here: [link] I'm so sick of Summer right now. Come on Fall. Come on cool air! Character designs are hard. It's really easy to get caught up in playing around with WHAT colors they should wear or how their hair should look. Anyway, to my commissioners that got full body character profiles, they'll look something like this... but more polished. This is kinda rough... I really like her face too. Her eyes the most. Coloring this really makes me wanna do soft shading in FG... but I know I'll just die if I do. |
